The fragrance experience starts with a vibrant opening of intense black cherry, transitioning quickly into a juicy lychee accord, reminiscent of a refreshing tropical drink. After about ten minutes, the scent journey continues to unfold into the heart, revealing a soft, powdery rose that is tender and comforting. After several hours, the fragrance dries down to a lingering base of rich, dark chocolate and earthy patchouli, which leaves a captivating trail on your skin.
"Very Cherry Rose" is a delightful perfume journey, from its bold, fruity introduction, through its soft floral heart, to its comforting and sensual finish. This fragrance is a charming celebration of youthful exuberance, a joy to wear, leaving a dark chocolate and patchouli kiss on the skin, a perfect scent memento.

I managed my families "Meleg's Orchard," in a small south Ontario town until I was 25. The orchard started with Sam Meleg, a Slovak from the Provence of Vojvodina, former Kingdom of Serbia of the Austro Hungarian Empire. My work ethic, self deprecating humour and stubborn nature is reflective of my Slovak, peasant roots.
Here my cousins are laying crops into the "apple bin." My wooden perfume box is meant to represent apple bins. Be they rose, vetiver or jasmine farmers. Be they from India, Mexico, Canada or Iran - Meleg Perfumes celebrates farmers and artisans of all nations.
Housed in a 50 ml bottle with a 30% perfume concentration, Honey Deer Musk integrates an 80% base of natural materials. This charming fragrance, my interpretation of the classic winter-French style, is the most feminine, warm, and sensuous in my collection.
Imagine the heart of a Parisian winter. Aristocrats would infuse the suede lining of their fur coats with resins and musks before attending an elegant ballroom dance. The heat of the dance would arouse the notes of civet, deer musk, beeswax, suede, and fur, creating an intoxicating, sensual aura.
Brimming with buttery sandalwood, beeswax, vintage musk ketone, jasmine, and civet, Honey Deer Musk is a rich, complex blend. The civet musk is acquired from a Canadian connection working directly with Ethiopian farmers. The deer musk hails from Siberia, where indigenous communities, granted hunting quotas by the Russian government, responsibly utilize all parts of the deer to sustain their traditional lifestyle.
Honey Deer Musk opens with a zesty burst of bergamot, then gracefully transitions into a heart infused with rose otto, jasmine absolute, heliotrope, and cinnamon. The sensual base notes of tonka bean, sandalwood, oak moss, benzoin, orris butter, vanilla absolute, civet musk, deer musk, and oak moss add warmth and depth, evoking an irresistible, long-lasting scent trail.

Its debut is a delightful dance of candy-green melon—soft, pleasing, and unassumingly simple, almost masking the complexity beneath its surface. Despite my initial apprehension of its playful facade being overlooked, Winter Melon has won hearts, largely due to its enchanting evolution during the dry-down phase.
Indeed, the crowning glory of this fragrance is the magnificent orris butter, often hailed as the reigning queen of perfumery materials. This investment has indeed borne fruit, taking Winter Melon to new heights.
This perfume is a tribute to the orris purist, for those discerning enough to distinguish between the synthetic and the authentic natural grandeur of orris. Sourced at a cost ranging between 90,000 to 150,000 USD per kilogram, orris graces this perfume with an undeniable touch of opulence. You're in for a treat.
Winter Melon commences with top notes of Japanese Yubari Melon and green leaf alcohol. The heart carries the luxurious white orris butter from Florence, blended with violet leaf absolute and a violet flower accord. The base unfolds with organic cocoa absolute and Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, the latter sourced from Eden Botanicals. It's also worth noting that the orris butter, boasting 15% irones, is sourced from the same esteemed supplier. This perfume is truly a celebration of nature's finest offerings.

I can't wait to be able to afford full bottles of at least two of these. They are all such high quality, the samples were large enough for five or six wears apiece and a few last a whole day and night on my skin with a light application. But Madeline and Vienna 1900 are easily in my top 5 frags of all time. Madeline especially is poetic, addictive and persistant... I want to smell like this forever!
