A remarkably warm and sensuous vintage-style perfume inspired by the grand ballrooms of 1930s Paris — feminine, musky, and deeply intimate.
Honey Deer Musk is a rich floral-musk perfume built around genuine deer musk, civet, and orris butter. It opens with a zesty burst of bergamot, revealing a heart of rose otto, jasmine absolute, heliotrope, and cinnamon, before settling into a warm, enveloping base of tonka bean, sandalwood, oakmoss, benzoin, and real animal musks.
Handcrafted in Canada by perfumer Matthew Meleg, this perfume is made in small batches using 80%+ natural materials, including ethically sourced Siberian deer musk, GC-MS-verified orris butter and jasmine absolute, and a base inspired by pre-IFRA French perfumery. Each bottle is blended, aged, and finished with the care of an artisan perfume house.

I managed my families "Meleg's Orchard," in a small south Ontario town until I was 25. The orchard started with Sam Meleg, a Slovak from the Provence of Vojvodina, former Kingdom of Serbia of the Austro Hungarian Empire. My work ethic, self deprecating humour and stubborn nature is reflective of my Slovak, peasant roots.
Here my cousins are laying crops into the "apple bin." My wooden perfume box is meant to represent apple bins. Be they rose, vetiver or jasmine farmers. Be they from India, Mexico, Canada or Iran - Meleg Perfumes celebrates farmers and artisans of all nations.
